Said Business School
Laura Fritsch is a DPhil candidate at Saïd Business School, supervised by Professor Alan Morrison, who is interested in corporate culture, governance and sustainable finance (ESG).
Her doctoral research uses network analysis and natural language processing to investigate corporate malpractice, understood in terms of networks, linkages and the propagation of culture.
She has an ESRC Grand Union Studentship, a Scatcherd European Scholarship, and is sponsored by the Oxford University Centre for Corporate Reputation. Laura has taught courses such as corporate finance, corporate governance and ethics, financial strategy and financial analytics. She holds an MSc (Hons) and an MPhil (Hons) from the Faculty of Law at the University of Oxford and a BA (Hons) from the Department of Economics at Columbia University.
She clerked for the judicial task force of the Brazilian Operation Lava Jato. She was a Visiting Scholar at the Basel Institute on Governance (corporate governance division) where she helped develop the Argentinian Anti-Corruption Bill and the Colombian High-Level Reporting Mechanism (HLRM) alongside the OECD. As an undergraduate, Laura worked at the Mission of Brazil to the United Nations and the UN Economic and Social Council in New York.
