Laura Gonzalez

Laura Gonzalez, Ph.D., is an associate professor of finance in the College of Business at California State University, Long Beach.

Gonzalez has a deep understanding of financial literacy, behavioral finance, fintech, crypto, banks, the economy, international trade and regulations, corporate finance, and investments. Her work in financial research has been presented at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C., New York City, Chicago, and in multiple conferences across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

Gonzalez has extensive media experience and has appeared in media outlets such as Thomson Reuters, The Wall Street Journal, CNN, The New York Times, Univision, Telemundo, Los Angeles Times, National Public Radio, International Business Times, TV Tokyo, IE Business News in India, and CCTV in China. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Gonzalez holds a doctorate degree in Finance from the University of Miami and master's degrees in Business Administration and Foreign Languages and Literature from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
