Academic Division: ManagementLauren Mackler is a coach, management consultant, speaker, educator, and creator of the Illumineering Coaching method. She is the author of the international bestseller, "Solemate: Master the Art of Aloneness & Transform Your Life", fellow author of "Speaking of Success" with Jack Canfield, Stephen Covey, and Kenneth Blanchard, a frequent commentator for CNN and FOX, and blogger for the Huffington Post. During her career, Lauren has also been a psychotherapist and corporate executive. After living and working in Europe for several years, Lauren returned to the U.S. and expanded her work to the corporate arena. Prior to founding her own firm in 2001, she created and led Arthur Andersen''s New England Region People Strategy consulting practice and served as Vice President of Learning and Organizational Development at Boston Financial. Lauren brings her coaching and consulting expertise, keynotes, and personal and professional development programs to individuals, groups, and organizations around the world. Her work has been covered widely in the media, and her areas of expertise include: leadership, human behavior, organizational effectiveness, strategic planning, coaching, management consulting, interpersonal relations, and change management. She has been privileged to serve organizations within sectors that include health care, biotechnology, legal, manufacturing, consumer products, advertising, financial services, insurance, technology, construction, retail, sciences, consulting, education, government, non-profit, and real estate. Previous to joining the Babson faculty, Lauren served as an instructor for Harvard Business Publishing’s online leadership development programs, a guest lecturer at Brandeis University, and an adjunct faculty member at Northeastern University’s Executive Education. She earned her B.S. in Psychology and M.A. in Organizational Development at Lesley University, and her German certification in Psychotherapeutic Counseling at the Tao Zentrum in Munich, Germany.
