    Aalto University School of Business

    I'm responsible teacher in four geotechnical courses. Besides teaching I'm doing research in our Geoengineering Group. My research activities include pavement performance, ground improvement, BIM in infraconstruction, nuclear waste disposal and environmental impacts of infra construction. I have good and active relationships with the industry and other reseach centres and universities also outside Finland.

    From summer 2014 I have been the director of th educational programme of civil and environmental engineering.

    BACKGROUND

    I started in 2010 in Aalto University as fixed term Professor. From the beginning of December 2012 I have been nominated as Professor of Practice. I have been working as Research Scientist at VTT (Technical Research Centre of Finland) for nearly ten years and earlier as a geotechnical designer.
