Biography
Jean Paul Lemaire is a Professor in the Marketing Department of ESCP Europe Paris campus. He teaches International Business. He has a multidisciplinary approach to profit and non profit organizations in the public and private sectors. His particular focus is on cross border and overseas expansion.He has a particular interest for emerging and fast growing economies where he regularly teaches and on which he researches.
Professor Lemaire holds degrees in Political Science (Institut d''Etudes Politiques of Paris), Sociology (Sorbonne), and International Economics and International Law (Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne). He attended the HEC doctoral program and earned his Doctorate in Economics from Paris I. He is also qualified to supervise research at universities (DHDR).
He started his career as an action-researcher in industrial sociology (CNAM), before contributing to the creation of various executive education and consultancy structures (DEMOS, FORMASTER, Aster Consultants). Lecturer, then senior lecturer at Institut d''Etudes Politiques of Paris, he coordinated the Department of International Business and Economics at ESC Rouen before joining EAP where he was the Academic Dean in Paris. Professor Lemaire is the current president of Atlas, Association Francophone de Management International.
