Leonie Hensgen is a researcher at Nadel since March 2017 working with Isabel Günther on an educational book on the economics of international development cooperation. She completed the MAS on International Development Cooperation at Nadel, ETHZ in June 2016. As part of the MAS Leonie worked for Helvetas at the Peace and Governance Section in Nepal. Previously she worked at the Max Planck Foundation for International Peace and the Rule of Law and at the Max Planck Institute for Foreign Comparative Law and International Law in Heidelberg. Leonie Hensgen holds a PhD from the Ruprechts-Karls University in international law, focusing on the question whether corruption is a violation to international human rights. Besides her academic experience, she worked with different NGOs in Latin America and Asia. Leonie`s main research interests are human rights, governance, anti-corruption, mediation design and peace processes.
