Rotterdam School of Management

Leopold Ried is an Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Management at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. His main research interests include negotiations and opportunistic behaviors in buyer-supplier relationships. Leopold Ried's research has appeared in the Journal of Operations Management and the Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management. He serves on the Editorial Review Board of the Journal of Supply Chain Management and is an Ad-hoc Peer Reviewer for the Journal of Operations Management.

Leopold Ried holds a Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management (summa cum laude), an M.Sc. in Economics & Strategy for Business from Imperial College London (Distinction), and a B.A. in Business Studies from The University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. He completed a research stay at Arizona State University as a Fulbright scholar and a study abroad semester at The University of Sydney. Prior to academia, Leopold Ried gained industry work experience in Germany, Australia, UK, Chile, and Italy, including positions in project management, consulting, and entrepreneurship.
