Biography
Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth
Liana guides organizations on how to put both purpose and profit at the center of their business strategy to drive revenue, loyalty, and innovation. She is a leader in sustainability, helping develop the first sustainability strategy and reporting at Lutron. She is working with the Tuck and McCombs School of Business to build their sustainability MBA curriculum so that future business leaders understand the role that business can play to build a regenerative economy. She also mentors sustainable start-ups with both SKU and Techstars. One of her companies, Shaz and Kiks, is a sustainable clean beauty brand that has been accepted into Sephora’s accelerator. Another circular economy company, FLO Materials, was accepted into the Activate program at the Cyclotron Road. Prior to her work in sustainability, Liana built three businesses into powerhouses and advised many leading consumer and tech companies. Her career has been about transformative change. As head of marketing, she led Ketra’s disruption of the lighting industry by creating a new category of light, circadian lighting, that improved people's wellbeing and delivered energy savings. At Lithium Technologies, she led a pivot in product strategy from a product to a platform solution and helped many leading brands, such as GoPro, Sephora, and Spotify, build communities of advocates. At Fleishman Hillard, she advised consumer brands on marketing and digital strategies and grew revenue by 4x in her region. She was a digital pioneer at Dell and her team was nationally recognized. She managed over a $1B+ ecommerce P&L, which she helped start from scratch. At the heart of her work has always been a deep understanding of the end consumer and the incorporation of design thinking principles. This has led to work with an outsized impact.
