Biography

Yang Liang, professor of the School of Medicine Southern University of Science and Technology. Dr. Yang obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Nankai University in 2004, and Ph.D., from Technical University of Denmark in 2009. Dr. Yang joined the School of Biological Sciences, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore as Assistant Professor from 2012, and obtained tenure (Associate Professor) in 2018. Dr. Yang was nominated as Assistant Dean of the School of Biological Sciences, and Deputy Research Director of Public Health & Medical Biofilms in Singapore Centre for Environmental Life Sciences Engineering (SCELSE). Dr. Yang joined the School of Medicine, Southern University of Science and Technology as a full-time professor at the end of 2018. He was granted the Guangdong Outstanding Youth Fund, the Oversea High-Caliber Personnel (Level B) of Shenzhen.

Dr. Yang is currently in charge of 3 core teaching courses: "Medical Microbiology (Undergraduate)", "Medical Microbiology Experiment (Undergraduate)" and "Microbial Technology (Graduate)" at Southern University of Science and Technology.
