Lingling Wang

Lingling’s research interests are in corporate and behavior finance, especially executive compensation, culture, and social issues. Her work has been published in leading finance and accounting journals, including the Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Review of Finance, and Contemporary Accounting Research. Before joining the faculty at UConn, Lingling was on the faculty at Tulane University. She taught equity investments at Tulane university and is now teaching fixed income securities and a Ph.D. course in corporate finance at UConn. At Tulane, she won multiple teaching awards, including the highly competitive Freeman Student Government Teaching Excellence Award and the Dean’s Excellence in Teaching Award. Prior to pursuing an academic career, she worked as a CRM Project Manager and senior application specialist for Sony Latin America Inc. in its Miami office. She earned her Ph.D. in finance from Georgia State University, an MBA from University of Miami, and a bachelor of science in economics from Southwest Jiaotong University in China.
