Biography

Lisa Nocks, Ph.D. is a historian of science, technology, and popular culture who has covered histories of robotics, medical electricity, automata, communication tech; books & print, early modern science, science fiction robots, Frankenstein, and Willy Ley. She is currently a public historian at the IEEE History Center in NJ. where she is developing the Center's Global Museum program to focus on the contributions of IEEE members to technical history. Current research: history of humanoid robotics
