Stephen M. Ross School of Business

Lisa Pawlik began teaching Business Communication at the Ross School of Business in 2005. She instructs both BBA and MBA students in managerial writing and presentation skills and coaches in multiple action-based learning programs. In addition to coordinating the Weekend MBA communication curriculum, Lisa teaches Full Time and Global MBAs. She has coached in the MBA MAP program since 2005 and advised in the Tauber Institute summer program for graduate business, engineering and supply chain teams since 2008.

Lisa’s current research examines how project teams' formal communications, including project deliverables like scoping documents, mid-point reports, and final reports and presentations--contribute to conducting the project work itself.

Lisa holds a BS from GMI (Kettering University) and an MBA from The University of Michigan.  Her business experience includes over 20 years at General Motors in operations, planning and program management.  Her position prior to coming to Ross was as the executive leader of Competitor Intelligence, identifying and formulating responses to strategic opportunities and threats in the automotive industry.
