Dr. Gonzalez Castro is an Associate Neurologist in the Department of Neurology and a Neuro-Oncologist at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. He received his MD and PhD degrees from Harvard University and completed neurology residency at the Mass General Brigham / Harvard Medical School Neurology Residency Program, followed by neuro-oncology training at Massachusetts General Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Dr. Gonzalez Castro is board certified in neurology and neuro-oncology, and is committed to providing state-of-the-art, compassionate care to patients with primary brain tumors and brain metastases, as well as patients suffering from neurologic complications of cancer and its therapy. Dr. Gonzalez Castro's research efforts are aimed at understanding the genetic basis of cancer cell survival and resistance to treatment, with the goal of developing more effective therapies.
