Biography
DePaul University
Makoto holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. Before moving into academe, he served as a software engineer on operating systems, a corporate business planning staff member focusing on technologies, and a product marketing manager on NetWare products.
His research interests include online consumer behaviors, cross-cultural online review analysis, enterprise system management, and IT apps for foreign workers. His papers appeared in Information & Management, Journal of Information Technology, Tourism Management, Information Processing & Management, and proceedings of international conferences.
