Manuel Fuertes is an engineer, investor, entrepreneur and technology transfer expert. He is CEO of Kiatt Group and adjunct professor at IE Business School.
Manuel graduated Summa Cum Laude in Engineering, studied Chinese Language at Jiaotong University and holds an MBA from Oxford
In 2003, Fuertes co-founded Kiatt Group in Oxford and Bristol, a group of science and technology-based companies backed by industry business owners and led by technology transfer specialists.
From 2011 to 2017, Manuel was Special Projects Manager, Investor Relations and Spain Regional Manager at Isis Enterprise, a part of the University of Oxford.
Manuel is also president of the board of Comunica Technology, the media and communication corporation of Kiatt Group; and he collaborates as External Project Evaluator with Fundación Repsol Entrepreneurs Fund. He is jury at numerous institutions such as Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Everis Awards and Fundación Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
Manuel sits on the boards of multiple investment initiatives and start-ups in biotechnology, nanotech, robotics, airspace, Artificial Intelligence, IoT and deep tech engineering over Asia, Europe and the Middle-East.
Manuel is the recipient of numerous Engineering awards, including the IET (Institution of Engineering & Technology) award and the Mechanical Engineers prize. In 2011 as recognition of his achievements in the field, he was granted the prestigious Oxford University Isis-Saïd fellowship for Technology Transfer.
Manuel has lectured at numerous institutions and Universities worldwide and is currently an adjunct professor at IE Business School where he teaches finance for Intellectual Property based businesses.
