Manuela Cernadas

Dr. Manuela Cernadas is a physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH). She is also an assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School.

She received her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine (now known as the Perelman School of Medicine). She then completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine at BWH. She is board certified in pulmonary disease, internal medicine and critical care medicine.

Dr. Cernadas’s clinical research focuses on the mechanisms of immune activation, specifically investigating the immunologic pathways that contribute to the pathobiology of airway diseases. She has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and has received funding from the National Institutes of Health.
