ESADE Business School
She has collaborated with ESADE''s Centre for Tourism Management (CEDIT) since 2001, being responsible for its management since September 2004. She is currently in charge of the Tourism Business Management and Administration programme and the International Doctoral Tourism and Leisure Colloquium. She is in charge of the organization of various conferences for the circulation, among the tourism sector, of studies prepared in the CEDIT.
Her research and teaching activity has concentrated on the area of management control and on the sphere of tourism industry. In particular, her lines of research refer to performance measurements, and critical factors of success of tourism businesses. Previously, Mar worked in companies such as KPMG Peat Marwick, BSCH and CIRSA.
She has published various articles and chapters of books, including: ''Aportación al cuadro de mando integral para cadenas hoteleras en España. Variables críticas de actuación'' Contribution to the balanced scorecard for hotel chains in Spain. Critical variables of action, ''Cuadro de mando integral para destinos turísticos'' Balanced scorecard for tourism destinations and ''Cataluña'' Catalonia.
In 2006 she received a positive assessment of her teaching and research activity from the Agency for the Quality of the Catalan University System (AQU).
