Marco Chacin

Biography

Head of Actuator Development and End Effectors for Automation, Robotics, and Assembly Technology, Airbus Marco Chacin received B.S. and Master's degrees in Electronics Engineering and Control Engineering with a concentration in Robotics in 1999 and 2001 respectively. In 2003, he moved to Japan to pursue a Ph.D. degree in Aerospace Engineering (Space Robotics) at Tohoku University under the sponsorship of the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science & Technology.

Since 2007, he has had numerous roles in Robotics and Automation: Toyota Motor Corporation (Robotics Researcher), Cyberdyne Inc (Senior Researcher), KUKA Robotics (Application Engineer), Aerotech (Applications Manager), and MathWorks (Robotics Industry Manager).

In 2018, Marco moved to the UK to take on the role of Principal Robotics Engineer at Airbus. In 2022, he became Head of Actuator Development and End Effectors for Automation, Robotics, and Assembly Technology.
