Biography:
Maria’s expertise is in Leadership and Organisational Behaviour. She has a PhD in Organisational Behaviour (IE Business School), an MSc in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management (London School of Economics), and a BSc in Economics and Business Administration (Aristotle University). She also held a visiting position at the W.P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University. Her research interests include Issues of Feedback in Leadership Development, Team Diversity, Affective Reactions at the Workplace, and Entrepreneurial Passion. She has been teaching Leadership Development to executives and international MBAs, as well as to MSc students. Her research has been published at the Academy of Management Learning and Education, the Human Resource Management, Human Relations and the Academy of Management Best papers proceedings, and cited at the Financial Times. She is an active member of the Academy of Management, has been a Senior Editor of Europe’s Journal of psychology, and has won several best reviewer awards from both the Organisational Behaviour and Diversity Divisions of the Academy of Management. Prior to her doctoral studies she worked in the banking industry and filled positions in HR training and development.
