Maria Longo

Maria Cristina LONGO is Associate Professor of Economics and Business Management at the Department of Economics and Business of the University of Catania. She graduated in Economics and Commerce with 110/110 cum laude, she obtained the title of PhD in Business Economics at the University of Catania. You have won the Research Fellowship in Managerial Disciplines announced by the IRI Foundation; she was Visiting Scholar at INSEAD (Paris), Visiting Professor at the University of Economics Prague, at the Institute Montpellier Management, University of Montpellier and Montpellier Business School (France). You have spent a research visiting at Columbia Business School (New York) and at the University of Southamphton (UK). He has taught Economics and Business Management, Marketing and Management of Tourism Businesses in the Bachelor's Degree courses and Strategy and Marketing for Internationalization and International Business in the Master's Degree Course in Business Management; currently he teaches Trade and Sales Management in the Bachelor's Degree Course in Business Economics and Channel Management in the Master's Degree Course in Business Management. He has held seminars and lectures at various University Masters and at foreign universities. He is currently Scientific Coordinator of the Advanced Training and University Specialization Course in "CFO - Chief Financial Officer for SMEs". He mainly deals with innovation management & high-tech, open innovation, technological standards and competitive dynamics, regulatory standards & coopetition, innovative start-ups & incubators, communities of practice & hub-and-spoke models for innovation, knowledge management & dynamic ability, export strategy, sustainable entrepreneurship and competitiveness of the territory, business sustainability, channel design & retailing management. She is the author of several articles, book chapters and monographs and has presented papers in national and international conferences.
