Presentation

I’m interested in the link between architecture and organization: between organizational design processes and client organizations, on the one hand, and architectural design processes and professional architects, on the other. Based on this interest my research pursues two strands: The first attends to professions and the conditions that professional work is presently being faced with. In this work, architectural practice represents the central example. The second strand focuses on organizing in complex organizational settings. In this work the notion of ‘design’ is given attention, addressing how managers can learn from the ways design professionals work (e.g. architects or industrial designers).
