Biography

Dr. Marie-Aimée Tourres is an International Economics and Development expert. She has over 15 years of experience in Higher Education leadership and holds a PhD in Economics. Dr. Marie enjoys management roles that include growing next generation competencies, developing futures thinking projects and amplifying opportunities for lifelong learning, scenario planning, curriculum development, and research and development. She is highly experienced at managing diverse teams in multi-cultural settings and is an indispensable strategic planner in fast paced, quick changing environments.

Dr. Marie has written and contributed to numerous publications about the economies of Asia, with special knowledge about Singapore and Malaysia. In addition, Dr. Marie is a sought-after educator and mentor, having guided students to the successful completion of their studies though her work at global education institutions.

In her free time, Dr. Marie periodically volunteers as an Economist for the World Council of Churches, is an Investment Committee Member for the Council for World Mission, and proudly serves as a Singapore Red Cross certified first responder for disaster and humanitarian relief.
