Center for Creative Leadership

Marie Legault, Ph.D. believes that in today’s complex environment of rapid growth and change, ethical leadership is essential in order to find creative solutions to organizational challenges and achieve sustainability. Prior to joining CCL, Marie was president of a leadership development firm dedicated to helping leaders and organizations develop to their full potential. Also, she worked in national and international markets, gaining leadership, management, and people-building experience with leading organizations and post-secondary educational institutions.

Marie has helped public and private organizations in diverse sectors attain their business objectives. She weaved consulting, facilitation, and coaching services into a comprehensive solution that integrates learning with action. She applied theories, practices, tools, and materials to keep clients on the leading edge of leadership development and accelerate their transformation.

Dr. Legault designed and delivered integrated organizational and leadership development initiatives that support organizations’ visions, values, objectives, and strategies. Marie facilitated learning and transformative processes, founded on leadership and adult development principles, to accelerate the developmental process and optimize performance. She delivered programs tailored to meet the needs of different management levels, generational groups, and cultures. As a leadership coach, she guided and supported leaders and executive teams as they developed on three leadership levels – personal, organizational, and systemic.

As senior faculty for the Center for Creative Leadership, Marie designs and delivers custom programs and organizational development initiatives and facilitates open-enrollment programs. Dr. Legault is also a coaching subject matter expert.

Marie has a Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Systems, a Master of Arts in Leadership and Training, a Bachelor of Commerce, an Executive Coaching Graduate Certificate, and a Professional Training & Development Certificate.

Dr. Legault is a dynamic bilingual — English and French — speaker. She has presented on the topics of leadership and ethical development at several international conferences, including the International Leadership Association. She has written articles for various publications and has a book on ethical development in progress. She is an Academic Supervisor in the School of Leadership Studies at Royal Roads University. As a practitioner and scholar, Marie’s interests include the development of ethical leaders and organizational cultures and transformative change.
