Mark Atkeson

Mark Atkeson retired at the rank of major after 31 years of service in the Ohio State Highway Patrol. During his tenure, he sat on a number of state and national boards and committees. Simultaneously, he served as a Genoa Township trustee. After two years in the private sector advising clients on criminal justice issues, Mark served as the executive director of the Ohio State Highway Patrol Retirement System for eight years. He served on the University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s Department of Management and Entrepreneurship Advisory Board and has been a lecturer in that department since 2021. Mark earned a B.A. in management from Malone University, a Diploma in Police Administration from Northwestern University and an MBA from Ohio University.
