Biography
-
Having worked in higher education since 2013, I have significant experience and expertise as an educator and researcher in the field of criminology and social sciences. I attained my PhD in 2021, which examined the lived experiences of migrant workers in Northeast England’s nocturnal service industry.
I have lectured at Sunderland, Northumbria, Teesside, and Arden Universities to both undergraduate and postgraduate student cohorts. I also have experience supervising student projects up to and including doctoral level. My current research interests include the night-time economy, 21st century cultures of work, violence, and social harm. Away from academia, I also have an active interest in music. Having played guitar for over thirty years, I have performed in bands throughout the UK music and festival scene.
