Mark Ellyne has a PhD in international relations and economics from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
He is a university lecturer at University of Cape Town, specializing in applied macroeconomics, international economics, monetary policy, fiscal policy, financial programming, and regional integration.
He has consulted for the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) on exchange control issues and to the National Treasury of South Africa on official debt issues.
Mark is retired from the International Monetary Fund after 24 years of service as an international macro economist designing and implementing economic adjustment programs in sub-Saharan Africa;
