Biography
Melbourne Business School
I am a senior leadership facilitator and executive coach having practiced in this field for sixteen years. Previously I worked in the Australian investment banking industry with six years at CEO level. Returning to university after almost twenty years of banking experience I studied the behavioural sciences and gestalt psychotherapy. I bring my lived experience as an executive as well as my deep understanding of human thought, feeling and behaviour to my work. I balance support and challenge so clients truly develop the perspectives, mindsets and skills they need.
My work is grounded in contemporary thought and research. Using frameworks so clients can conceptualise, offering experiences so clients can deepen their understanding and facilitating dialogue to ‘unpack’ both, clients are able to ‘map’ their learning onto their own circumstances in ways that are meaningful and practical. My working style is conversational and professional such that clients transfer their learning from the workroom to the workplace.
Most recently I did this as a Senior Consultant with the Melbourne Business School and today I continue as an MBS Associate.
In fifteen years of practice I have worked with a broad range of private and public sector clients including, Accenture, Anglicare, The Australian Institute of Sport, ANZ, Cenitex, The Ministry for Higher Education (Malaysia), Herbert Smith Freehills, The City of Melbourne, NAB, Perpetual, Transurban and St John (New Zealand.)
Significantly in the contemporary workplace where executives are typically highly skilled I work to assist clients to reflect on themselves, to recognise habitual patterns of thought, feeling and behaviour, such that they develop a clear perspective on their own leadership. Working one-on-one, in small or larger groups, with intact teams or people drawn from across an organisation, I assist clients to expand self-awareness in service of leadership and to develop an effective executive mindset.
