INSEAD Business School
Prof. Dr. Markus Scholz is founder and head of the Institute for Business Ethics and Sustainable Strategy (IBES), holder of the endowed chair for Corporate Governance & Business Ethics and head of Josef Ressel Center for Collective Action and Responsible Partnerships (JR Center CARe) at FHWien der WKW. He studied business administration, economics and philosophy at Leibniz University of Hannover and at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
His previous academic positions have taken him to the Centre for Philosophy of Natural and Social Science at the London School of Economics and to the Zicklin Center for Business Ethics Research at the Wharton Business School, where he was a Senior Fellow (2013-2017).
From 2016 to 2017, Professor Scholz led the Microeconomics-of-Competitiveness (MoC) network organised by the Harvard Business School as European Chairman.
In addition to other national and international positions in teaching and research, he is Adjunct Professor and Visiting Scholar at the INSEAD Ethics & Social Responsibility Institute (ESRI) and European Ambassador of the “Giving Voice to Values” initiative.
