Biography
I am currently an Assistant Professor of Economics at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Previously, I stayed as a postdoctoral researcher at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, working for a project funded by the H2020 program of European Commission. I received my PhD in Economics (with Honors) from University of Valencia in January 2018, as a recipient of a PhD scholarship from the Spanish Ministry of Economy. I was also a visiting scholar at University of California, at Riverside (USA) and Memorial University of Newfoundland (Canada).
My PhD dissertation has been recognised with the 2018 Prize for the best thesis in Economics by the Spanish Royal Academy of Doctors (Real Academia de Doctores) and the Extraordinary Doctorate Award from the University of Valencia (2019).
I have participated in several projects from institutions like European Commission, Spanish Ministry of Economics and Regional Governments of Andalucía and Comunidad Valenciana.
My teaching is on Tools for the analysis of the (macro)economic environment, International Economics and Behavioral Economics.
My research lies on the field of Environmental and Resource Economics, as well as the intersection of this with Urban and Political Economics, International Economics, productivity, demand analysis and Applied Econometrics. Particularly, my thesis was devoted to the analysis, design and implementation of water management policies, both in urban and agricultural settings, as well as the study of behavioral spillovers in relation to pro-environmental attitudes and behaviors. I am also interested in food security and migrations
