Martin Amlin is Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Composition and Theory at Boston University and Director of the Boston University Tanglewood Institute Young Artists Composition Program. He was a student of Nadia Boulanger in Fontainebleau and Paris, and holds masters and doctoral degrees as well as the Performer’s Certificate from the Eastman School of Music. Mr. Amlin has received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers, the Massachusetts Artists Foundation, and the Massachusetts Cultural Council. He has recorded for the Albany, Centaur, Crystal, Hyperion, and MSR Classics labels, and his compositions are published by the Theodore Presser Company.
