Prof. Daumer studied physics at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (diploma “The phase operator in quantum optics”, 1990) and then received his doctorate in mathematics (“Scattering theory from the perspective of Bohmian mechanics”, 1995). After moving to the TUM Faculty of Medicine (Institute for Medical Statistics and Epidemiology, Rechts der Isar Hospital) and researching “Online Monitoring in Medicine”, the company “Trium Analysis Online GmbH” was founded in 2000 and a year later the non-profit research institution “Sylvia Lawry Center for Multiple Sclerosis Research eV”.
Prof. Daumer's current research focuses on medical monitoring, wearables and clinical studies. “CTG Online” is a medical product for global delivery room monitoring; Based on the “Ian MacDonald Database” and the wearable, a new generation of target parameters for clinical studies is being developed in dialogue with regulatory authorities (EMA, FDA).
