Biography
-
Catherine began her love affair with qualitative research more than 20 years ago and hasn’t looked back. She loves the mental candy that accompanies the examination of human behavior and digging deeply into the “why”. Particularly fascinating to Catherine is when people display behaviors that do not match their professed beliefs; The thought-action gap is her favorite place to make camp and dig in.
Catherine was first introduced to the art and science of research at Columbia University where she worked on several university-based community research projects. Her love of research was further fostered at Harvard University where she got her doctorate in Human Development and Education. Though she is grateful for the rigorous research training that she received as a graduate student, Catherine will always “bleed maroon and gold” as her bachelors degree is from Boston College.
Most recently, Catherine has been working in the pharmaceutical industry in end-to-end research for a wide array of products in that arena. Focused heavily on the customer experience, Catherine’s work centered on qualitative research methods as the primary inroad for gaining insight toward improved outcomes.
