Biography
Crawford School of Public Policy
Mathias Sinning is the Deputy Director of the ANU Tax and Transfer Policy Institute. He has previously held academic appointments at the ANU and the University of Queensland and has been a Visiting Fellow at Princeton University. Mathias is interested in the empirical analysis of issues related to labor economics, public economics and policy evaluation. He has published articles in journals such as Economic Inquiry, Health Economics, Journal of Banking and Finance, and Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization. He is currently working on the projects “Understanding Dynamic Aspects of Economic Inequality” and “Applying Behavioral Insights to the Tax System in Australia” funded by the Australian Research Council. He is a Research Fellow of RWI Essen, IZA Bonn and the CReAM Centre at University College London.
