Biography
Matt Ridenour is currently the Operating Partner at The People Fund (www.thepeoplefund.net). He has primary responsibility for supervising the People Fund’s portfolio of operating companies.
Prior to joining the People Fund, Mr. Ridenour was a founding Managing Director of two different venture capital funds, Momentum Venture Management and Gazelle TechVentures, both of which made Series A investments in early stage technology companies. Prior to this Mr. Ridenour was a Principal with Blue Capital, a leveraged buyout fund, and was a Consultant with Bain & Company in their private equity practice.
Mr. Ridenour has been a principal in fundraising transactions totaling more than $200mm and has extensive experience as both a venture investor and as an early stage CEO. Mr. Ridenour has an economics degree from Dartmouth College and graduated as a Baker Scholar from Harvard Business School.
