Crawford School of Public Policy
Matthew Dornan is a Research Fellow at and Deputy Director of the Development Policy Centre in the Crawford School of Public Policy. His research focuses on economic development in the Pacific Islands and Papua New Guinea, and includes work on infrastructure access, development and regulation; aid from ‘traditional’ and ‘emerging’ donors; renewable energy; regional integration; climate change adaptation financing; and labour mobility. Matthew is the editor of the Development Policy Centre’s Discussion Paper series and sits on the editorial board of the Asia and the Pacific Policy Studies journal. He leads the Energy for Development cluster of the ANU’s Energy Change Institute. Matthew received his PhD from the Crawford School and has a background in public policy and economics. He has consulted and worked for a number of development partners in the Pacific Islands region.
