Matthew Serfling is an Assistant Professor of Finance. He received his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Arizona and undergraduate degree in Finance with a minor in Mathematics from North Dakota State University. His research focuses on issues related to corporate finance, labor market frictions, and accounting and has been published or is forthcoming in leading journals, including the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Economics, the Journal of Accounting and Economics, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and the Journal of Corporate Finance. His research has also been presented at several national and international conferences, such as the American Finance Association, Western Finance Association, European Finance Association, Financial Management Association, and American Accounting Association annual meetings.
