Weatherhead School of Management
Megan (Schulstad) Buchter is the Director of the Fowler Center for Business as an Agent of World Benefit. Megan has been part of the Fowler Center for over ten years, first as a student volunteer while doing her CWRU undergraduate degree in economics and next as a graduate assistant while completing her Weatherhead MBA. Megan then re-joined the Fowler Center team in October 2016 as AIM2Flourish Operations Manager. As Director she helps in advancing the strategic priorities of the Fowler Center in the areas of research, education, and applied work with local, national, and global companies. Megan is passionate about education and helping students to see themselves as change agents and leaders for world benefit. She runs the Fowler Center’s AIM2Flourish program, supporting a global network of professors and students in highlighting stories of businesses striving to achieve the UN Global Goals for Sustainable Development.
Megan received her MBA in 2015 from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. She also holds a Bachelors of Arts in Economics with minors in Art History and French from Case Western Reserve University. While pursuing her MBA, Megan was one of the inaugural Fowler Fellows and had the privilege of supporting and attending the Third Global Forum and co-authoring the teaching case "Food Donation Connection: Profitably Scaling Food Waste Reduction" published by Ivey Publishing, Ivey Business School. Megan's passion for sustainability and Business as an Agent of World Benefit began in undergrad while working on her thesis about micro-finance institutions in Bangladesh and has evolved to include an interest in businesses supporting the well-being of everyone in their communities.
