Michael Chase

I am a Chicago native and a former DePaul student. I have a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Indiana University. I worked as a microbiologist for several years, then changed fields to Information Technology and Software Development. While working as a contractor for consulting companies I completed additional continuing education programs at DePaul.

I then formed and managed a small financial software company that I ran until 2010. My company, Kingfisher Software, developed financial software and content management systems. During that time, I also began developing my own learning content. I managed to turn my love of learning new technology into a full time job as an Instructor at DePaul University where I currently teach website building with content management tools (WordPress and Drupal) and the senior capstone agile project development class.
