Wagner Graduate School of Public Service
Michael Keane, AICP is an urban planner with more than a decade of professional planning experience in the public and private sectors, both in the United States and internationally. He is a Senior Environmental Planner at Langan Engineering, where he manages the preparation of environmental impact statements and assessments for a broad spectrum of projects including site-specific and area-wide rezonings, land development, and a range of agency sponsored actions. In this capacity, he overesees City and State Environmental Quality Review (CEQR, SEQR) and Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP) processes on behalf of government agencies and developers.
Mike is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, the American Planning Association, and the Urban Land Institute. In 2011, then-Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer appointed Mike to Community Board Five, where he served on the Land Use & Zoning and Transportation Committees from 2011-2014.
He received his Master of Urban Planning from Hunter College and also holds a Master of Arts in U.S. History/Political Science from the University of Maryland College Park and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
