Michael Wiegand

Michael was born in Southern California and went to school for IT at Cal Baptist University. 6 months into his first IT job, he decided it wasn't for him and took an opening in the marketing department instead.

He currently leads the analytics team at Portent, a digital marketing agency where he started as a paid search practitioner in 2007.

Prior to joining Portent and getting immersed in digital, Michael ran traditional marketing for a real estate lender, and before that designed direct mail pieces for a healthcare staffing company.

He’s always approached digital through a lens of what it takes to get attention and drive results in the real world versus just driving engagement on the web.

Michael moved to the Northwest on a whim in 2005 and lives in South Seattle with his wife and 2 children.
