Kellogg School of Management

Michele serves as a liaison to nonprofit organizations in the Chicago area, academic director for minority enterprise and other executive education programs, and director of LEAD Northwestern which introduces graduate business education to high school students from underserved areas. Focusing on growth of BIPOC enterprise in Chicago, Michele is working with the Chicago Urban League to relaunch its NextOne education program, and the Civic Committee (of Commercial Club) to enhance market opportunities for growth. She is a graduate of Williams College and holds an MBA degree from Harvard University.

After joining Kellogg to recruit the inaugural MMM class, Michele held Assistant Dean positions in Experiential Learning, Student Academic Affairs, and Admissions & Financial Aid. Her experience includes directing graduate admissions for the Medill School, development with Harvard University, admissions with HBS, general and diversity consulting, and human capital management for Consolidated Diesel Co., the manufacturing startup by J.I. Case and Cummins Engine Company. She is on the advisory board of Cedar Concepts, a chemical manufacturing company.

Michele is active in community and civic organizations involving education, youth, and economic development. She serves on boards of directors for The Family Institute, Justin Wynn Fund for youth leadership, Harriett's Daughters for economic development in Chicago, Surge Institute for leaders in education, Male Mogul Initiative that provides marginalized youth with leadership and entrepreneurial resources to become successful, and the HBS Club of Chicago Social Enterprise Initiative.

She is on the boards of trustees for Williams College (MA) and Hathaway Brown School (OH), on the Williams Alumni Bicentennial Committee, and the McGaw YMCA Audit Committee. Michele earned the Bert King Service Award from HBS alumni, and co-founded the Evanston Township H. S. Foundation to support extracurricular activity. She enjoys theater, sports, and coaching middle school girls in Evanston's FAAM League.

Teaching Interests

  • Academic Director for Nonprofit Exec Ed Programs: National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), JPMC Foundation's Ascend program for Chicagoland entrepreneurs, and the high school LEADership, Education and Development (LEAD) Program. Sessions taught include Managing Perceptions and Leading Without Direct Authority. Work to develop government funded Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) programming and staff.
