Biography
University of San Francisco School of Management
Professor Millar studies sustainability and corporate social responsibility in the lodging, meeting, and event management industries. She also focuses her research on the choices travelers make when choosing sustainable travel products, how sustainability may affect their decision making, and what factors are most important to them when it comes to sustainable hospitality products and services.
She developed a framework that hospitality educators and industry professionals use in order to identify which sustainable skills are most needed by students entering the industry. Professor Millar educates students in all of her classes about how they can integrate more socially and environmentally conscientious practices into their businesses and surrounding communities, and addresses the important implications for industry marketing.
