Biography

Studied Chemical engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, received an MBA with Finance and Marketing from the Indian Institure of Management (IIM) Calcutta, and completed his doctoral work at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Experience with the World Bank and Unilever and teaching at Georgia Tech before coming to Georgia State University. At GSU, has been awarded the Brightman Award for Instructional Innovation (2006), GSU Instructional Effectiveness Award (2007), Outstanding Professor Award (2010, 2012), and RCB Teaching Excellence Recognition Award (2017), and RCB Instructional Innovation Grants(2009, 2010, and 2012). He has also received a Best Research Paper Award (DSJIE, 2012) and Best Teaching Track Paper Award (DSI Conference, 2012).

Visiting scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and Co-Editor, Journal of Financial Education, and Advances in Financial Education. He is also Member of the Editorial Board, International Journal of Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SOTL). Dr, Shrikhande's research has been published in the Review of Financial Studies, and European Financial Management, Journal of International Financial Management and Accounting and several elite, highly ranked SOTL journals.
