Mingjin Wang

Wang mingjin graduated from department of mathematics, Peking university in 1997 with Ph.D in mathematics received. He is now professor in Department of Business Statistics and Econometrics in Guanghua School of Management, fellow of the Academy, Association of Applied Statistics , Statistical Education Society of China as well as Statistical Society of Beijing. His research interests mainly lie in the area of analysis of financial time series, particularly with respect to the theory and methods on volatility modeling of different financial assets. In addition, his current research also includes the non-parametric and semi-parametric inference methods for the earning functions, which is an extremely important empirical tool in labor economics and the economics of educations. He has teached courses like Applied Statistics, Time Series Analysis, Financial Time Serie, Statistical Analysis for Managerial Decision, Statistical Analysis for Managerial Decision and Applied Multivariate Statistics. He was awarded CBC Teaching Award of Peking University in 2008.
