Dr. Monica J. Garfield is Professor in Computer Information Systems at Bentley University, Waltham, MA USA. Her research focuses on the use of IT to improve healthcare and prevent homelessness. She teaches in the MBA and the MS programs at Bentley University covering database topics as well as the strategic management of IT. She holds an A.B. from Vassar College, an M.B.A. and M.S. from Boston University and a Ph.D. in MIS from the University of Georgia. Her current work aims to use data and IT to improve society and reduce homelessness.
