Biography
Muhammad Azim completed his PhD in Accounting from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. He holds the Canadian CPA, CA, designations and has an M.Sc. in Finance from Queen's University. Dr. Azim's current research interests span two broad areas. The first area is in financial accounting, where he studies financial markets frictions as they apply to accounting questions. The second area is in managerial accounting, where he studies contracting issues.
Prior to the above, Dr. Azim was in Deloitte’s Real Estate & Resources group within the Assurance & Advisory practice. He has worked with public and private companies across four continents and has significant international experience.
Dr. Azim is a Canadian of Bangladeshi heritage. He is passionate about research, teaching and building communities. He enjoys hikes, travel, and learning of different cultural cuisines.
