Natalia Nikolova

Natalia Nikolova is Associate Professor in Organisation Studies and the Academic Director of the UTS Futures Academy, the UTS Business School Enterprise Learning Unit. She has a PhD in economic and political sciences (Dr. rer. pol.) from the University of Cologne, Germany. Before joining University of Technology Sydney Business School, Natalia was a visiting researcher at the Australian Graduate School of Management. Prior to that, she was a senior lecturer at the University of Cologne, Germany.

Natalia's research interests are quite diverse including organisational practices, strategy, innovation and leadership. She is passionate about bringing insights from different disciplines to explore complex issues and phenomena. Natalia has worked on several projects with industry partners including Mirvac, the Royal Australian Air Force, Mercer, BAE Systems Australia, and Spencer Stuart. She has published in top academic journals and her work has been presented and recognised at leading academic conferences.

Natalia has an extensive experience as an innovative educator and facilitator in the fields of business strategy, innovation, problem solving and leadership. She has in-depth expertise in the design and delivery of customised, innovative educational offerings enabling learners to embed new tools and techniques in their practice. Her educational leadership has been recognised by several awards including the UTS Business School Achievement Award for Sustained Innovation, an Australian Government Learning & Teaching Citation, a UTS Learning & Teaching Award and a UTS Learning & Teaching Citation.

Natalia is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Professions and Organization (Oxford University Press) and regularly reviews for a number of international journals, including Organization Studies, Human Relations, Long Range Planning, Construction Management and Economics, Journal of Product Innovation Management and others.
