Neri is the EY Americas Accounting, Reporting and Governance Leader for Financial Accounting Advisory Services. He advises companies on financial reporting, investor communications, accounting, disclosure and regulatory practices. He is also Americas Long Term Value Leader and a global client service partner. Neri assists clients in furthering long-term value through world-class reporting and disclosures that align corporate investor communications and metrics with strategic direction and long-term objectives.
Previously, Neri was an Executive Managing Director at Standard and Poor’s, where he served as S&P's Chief Risk Officer, Chief Quality Officer and Chief Accountant. He was a member of S&P’s Executive Committee and its Analytical Policy Board and chaired the Policy Governance Committee. Neri managed the Global Accounting Research & Corporate Governance Research groups supporting the firm’s analysts. He joined S&P in 2002 as Chief Accountant after serving in EY’s Professional Practice as a technical resource for the firm’s professionals.
Neri has served as a member of various boards and senior advisory groups such as the FASB’s Advisory Council, the PCAOB’s Standing Advisory Group, the Accounting Standards Executive Committee of the AICPA, the International Accounting Standards Board’s Advisory Committee and the IASB's Capital Markets Advisory Committee and chaired the FASB’s Investors Advisory Committee. He also served on the IASB/FASB Leasing and FASB’s Disclosure Framework Advisory Groups and has authored numerous publications on financial analysis and the implications of accounting and financial reporting. He was awarded the McGraw-Hill Companies Excellence in Leadership Award and was a Next Generation Fellow of The American Assembly. He is a trustee of the Committee for Economic Development and of The Abraham Joshua Heschel School New York.

Neri is a CPA licensed in New York and California. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Economics from Tel Aviv University, an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Business and a Master’s in Taxation from the USC Marshall School of Business. He is an adjunct professor at the NYU Stern School of Business.
