Nick Fabrizio PhD, FACMPE, FACHE, is a principal consultant with the MGMA Health Care Consulting Group and serves on the faculty at Cornell University’s Sloan Program in Health Administration, where he has also served as the executive in residence. His primary expertise is in physician practice management and managing complex physician-hospital relationships.

Nick A. Fabrizio, PhD, FACMPE, FACHE, is a principal with MGMA Consulting with over 25 years of medical group and hospital experience in single and multispecialty group practices, for-profit and nonprofit hospitals and health systems, academic medical centers, and ambulatory care networks. He has significant expertise in governance and board development, integration, operations, and mergers and acquisitions. He specializes in strategic and operational matters focused on turnaround, crisis and specialized advisory, and operational due-diligence services for both distressed and growth-oriented organizations.

Currently, Dr. Fabrizio is a faculty member at Cornell University in the Department of Policy and Analysis in the Sloan Graduate Program in Health Administration where he teaches Management and Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management. He also developed eCornell’s Healthcare Certificate Program. In addition, he has served on several boards, including the New York State Medical Group Management Association, where he was president, and he was the regent for the American College of Healthcare Executives in the New York Area. He is a frequent speaker and has authored numerous publications and book chapters, including Goals into Gold: Strategic Planning for Healthcare Professionals and Integrated Delivery Systems: Ensuring Successful Physician-Hospital Partnerships.

Two of Dr. Fabrizio's previous clients were featured in ACHE’s Healthcare Executive Magazine, bringing national recognition to both: Memorial Healthcare System, in Hollywood, Florida, for its effective physician-hospital governance and committee models; and Bozeman Deaconess Hospital, in Montana, for its dyadic model of hospital-physician cooperation. Dr. Fabrizio's work was instrumental in implementing positive change to both organizations.
