Niloofar Abolfathi is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Department of Strategy and Policy at NUS Business School. Her research interests lie at the intersection of competitive strategy and entrepreneurship. In her research, she explores incumbent and entrants dynamics under market shifts such as changes in customer side frictions and technological shifts such as introduction of new technologies. In her work, she mainly uses large, quantitative data on global settings like the telecommunications industry.
Niloofar holds a Ph.D. degree in Business Administration and Management from Bocconi University, an M.S. degree in Industrial Management from Allameh University, and a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from K.N.Toosi University of Technology. During her doctoral studies, she has been a visiting scholar at George Washington University. She has taught courses on strategy and innovation at WU Vienna and Bocconi University.
